Indeed, the rain was kept away on Chris and Tiffany's sunny wedding day in Manquin, Virginia, where I had the honor of second shooting for Taylor Lynn. The southern tradition involves the couple visiting their wedding venue one month in advance, bury a full bottle of bourbon to ward off the rain, and then dig it up on the actual wedding day. You betcha they did just that AND they also took a shot with all their family and friends - that's what the Bourbon is really for after all.. right?! Moving onto cocktail hour at the stone terrace lit with twinkle lights, their guests mingled all evening with the perfect summer sunset as their backdrop. The reception inside the barn was equally impeccable - housing a tasteful three-tier cake and a playlist that kept the dance floor lively at all times.
